Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu Sunday launched a scathing attack on ruling party Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and sarcastically said that those whom you thought were necklaces, turned out to be snakes.
“Mann said neither he will take security nor use luxury facilities, but now he is doing just the opposite. Arvind Kejriwal also gave false guarantees to people.”
While calling former Congress MLA Sushil Rinku (now AAP candidate) as Rinku-Tinku, he said that every sin can be forgiven, but the earth cannot bear the burden of the ungrateful.
“When Rinku was in the Congress, he used to say that hang the photos of those who backstabbed on the wall and put a shoe garland on their photos. Now people of Jalandhar will do this work for Rinku and teach him a lesson for betrayal,” Sidhu said.
“Eh khak nashino utah baitho, ab waqt kahan aa pahuncha hai, jab takhat giraye jayenge aur taj uchhale jaynege (Get up, O people of ashes, the time has come when the thrones will be toppled and the crowns will be tossed),” Sidhu concluded with these line.
Meanwhile, at a press conference, former CM of Punjab Charanjit Singh Channi accused the AAP of protecting fugitive people. Channi alleged that proclaimed offender Hardeep Singh Rana has been declared a fugitive by the court in a case of fraud registered in the year 2011. He also showed the court orders in this regard during the press conference and said that now this Rana has been intimidating sarpanches in the villages of Shahkot area to vote in favour of AAP.
