The Moga police is looking for two youth for raping minor girl. One of the accused has been identified as Pawan Kumar.
Sub-Inspector Shubhash Chander,who is investigating the case,said,The girl,a resident of Ammiwala village near Dharmkot,had gone to a nearby market to buy books. While returning,two men on a motorcycle with faces covered,came from behind,picked her up and took her to a nearby drain where they raped her. The incident took place on September 16. The complaint,a Class X student claimed while trying to resist,the cloth on face of one of the boys came down and she recognised him as Pawan Kumar who lives in the same village. Police said as the girl began screaming,a few passerby saw the boys and chased them. The girls grandfather,Sukhcian Singh,who was working nearby also came running.
Medical examination of the girl confirmed physical contact. Police have also collected swabs from the victims body and sent for . The men have been booked under Section 376,366 and 34 of the IPC. We have formed teams and are raiding places. We will trace them down at the earliest, the SI said.
