More support has poured in for SAD-BJP candidate Gurcharan Singh Galib with Aggarwal Community,Advocates and Citizen Organization of Punjab offering support to him.
A special meeting of Maharaja Aggarsen Charitable Trust was held under the chairmanship of Subash Chander Garg where it was decided that Aggarwal Community would extend its support to SAD-BJP candidate Gurcharan Singh Galib. The women wing of Aggarwal Sabha also conducted similar meeting under the chairmanship of Sunita Aggarwal and decided to mobilize women voters.
Garg said told the meeting that Badal had the best track record of fulfilling election promises,whereas Congress candidate Tiwari has never come back to Ludhiana after loosing last Lok Sabha election. On this occasion,Tourism Minister Hira Singh Gabaria stated that it was the SAD-BJP government which was providing free electricity to the farmers and had abolished octroi. As per our promise we have provided Aata at Rs 4 per kg to the families living below poverty lines, he added.
In this meeting,Mayor Hakam Singh Gyaspura,councilor Sukhdev Singh Gill,Harinderpal Singh,Ex-Deputy Mayor Prem Mittal,Ved Parkash Mittal,Ashok Garg,Radhesham Bansal,Kewal Chand,Satbir Aggarwal,Dev Raj,Ramesh Garg,Narayan Goyal,Ram Kumar Goyal,Suresh Aggarwal and other leaders were also present. The organization weighed Galib with coins and promised all support to him.
Citizens Organization of Punjab held a special meeting under the president ship of Sham Sunder at Dugri. In this meeting,it was unanimously decided to vote and support Galib. While addressing the meeting,general secretary of organization,Ramesh Gautam said that UPA Government had failed to provide any relief to the citizens of the country. The prices of essential commodities were increasing by the day,which had made the life of a common man miserable.
In this meeting,Pawan Khanna,Suresh Chander,Raman Kaura,Dipesh Kumar,Sachin Sharma,Rajnish Garg,Gurjit Singh,Megraj Sharma,Sunil Dutt,Bharti Rani,Kamla Garg,Neeru Bala,Kamlesh Sharma,Parveen Bala,Harjit Singh Sachdeva,Sunil Bahardwaj,Meenakshi,Ashok Gupta,Vikas Puri,Narinder Bagha,Parveen Goyal and other leaders were also present.
District Bar Association (DBA) has also decided to support Gurcharan Singh Galib. The DBA President Parupkar Singh Ghumman said that this decision has been taken keeping in view the performance of the SAD-BJP Government in the state. A special meeting was also organized to declare this decision in which Chief Parliamentary Secretary Harish Dhanda and Gurcharan Singh Galib also participated. Dhanda requested the advocates to support SAD-BJP candidates,so that they can raise the Punjab problems in Parliament and can ensure justice for the state.
In this meeting,Iqbal Singh Gill,Rajiv Duggal,Jagdev Singh Virk,Ranjit Singh Rathore,Kuldeep Singh Arora,B.S. Aujhla,Rajesh Chopra,Wahegurupal Singh,Harinder Singh Narang,Dharamvir Singh Gill,Baljinder Singh Saini,Gurinderpal Singh Pappu and other advocated were also present.
SC Morcha of the BJP also intensified activities to garnish support for Galib. Under the leadership of Vice President of the Morcha,Ram Lal Changotra,a door- to-door campaign was conducted in Jawahar Nagar. The residents of the area assuread full support to SAD-BJP candidate Gurcharan Singh Galib.
Congress,BSP leaders join SAD
Congress leader Sarita Bains and BSP leader Sunil Kumar Rinku today joind the SAD along with hundreds of their supporters,in a specially organized election rally. The rally was organized by Baljit Singh Kang in support of SAD-BJP candidate Gurcharan Singh Galib. Another leader,Pappu Kumar joined BJP along with his supporters. While addressing the rally,the BJP Punjab President Prof Rajinder Bhandari said that NDA Government under the leadership of LK Advani had become a certainty.
The meeting was also addressed by MP Sharanjit Singh Dhillon. He said that the interests of the Punjab were safe only in the hands of NDA government. He further said that the centre- state relations would be recast in a manner that the states have full opportunities for growth and development and for promotion of their respective cultures. Central liability in states would be linked to the contribution of the concerned.
