Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Maharaja Agrasen International Airport in Hisar on April 14, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said Monday.

Saini said the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation of a new 800 MW unit worth Rs  7,272 crore at the Deenbandhu Chhottu Ram Thermal Power Plant in Yamunanagar.

Saini said an Integrated Aviation Hub was being developed over 7,200 acres in Hisar, with 4,200 acres allocated for the airport and 3,000 acres for an Integrated Manufacturing Cluster.

Noting that the airport’s development is divided into three phases, the CM said the first phase, including a terminal building, was already completed for Rs 50 crore.
