PU holds orientation programme for engineering students

CHANDIGARH: University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET),Panjab University (PU),organised an orientation function,welcoming its freshers batch,at the Law auditorium on Monday.

The programme was inaugurated by vice-chancellor Arun Kumar Grover,along with director,UIET,Professor Renu Vig. Professor Grover encouraged the students to perform well and achieve good grades along with over all development of ones skills.

Midday meal kitchen opened at GMSSS-15

Chandigarh: DPI (S) Upkar Singh,on Monday inaugurated a midday meal kitchen at the Government Model senior Secondary School Sector 15. Students will now be able to eat the food cooked at the school kitchen itself. Along with KariPakora with rice,Halwa was also cooked on the inaugural day.

School at PU gets CBSE affiliation

CHANDIGARH: Ankur School,situated in the Panjab University campus,has got the affiliation from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Principal,Ankur School has informed that Ankur School,a Unit of Student Aid Society,PU has been accorded affiliation by CBSE,New Delhi Vide letter No. CBSE/Aff./SL-01317-1314/2630073/595874 dated August 19. The school,which was started with the help of Student’s Aids Society,Panjab University,was opened in 1976. ENS
