PU law grad assaulted

Chandigarh:A Panjab University law graduate,Rajat Sharma,was beaten up by a bunch of unidentified youths with sticks,baseball bats,iron rods and sharp-edged weapons near Sector 45 late on Saturday night. The incident took place around 11 pm when Rajat was returning home in Burail. Unidentified miscreants stopped his vehicle and beat him up. Later,the miscreants fled and Rajat was admitted to a nearby hospital,where his condition is stated to be stable.

Chandigarh:Former BJP president Rajnath Singh met the activists of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha on Saturday and urged them to ensure Chandigarh residents register their anguish against the “corrupt” Congress-led central government. Rajnath Singh along with Prem Kumar Dhumal were welcomed by the president of party’s city unit Sanjay Tandon.
