PU pool swimmers show their mettle

Swimmers who train at the Panjab University Swimming Pool under coach Gurcharanjeet Singh,cornered glory in the recently conducted swimming competition organised by the UT Sports Department from at the Yog Swimming Pool at Sector 23,Chandigarh. In overall tally,the PU swimmers bagged 15 Gold,17 Silver and 14 Bronze medals respectively in the competition between the age group of 8 to 17 years.

In the Boys section,Asav Kumar,Roshan Chirag,Amandeep,Ravinder,Tejinder,Maninder,Anhad,Simran,Deepak and Uval grabbed Gold medals. In the girls section,Mani Mehtab,Khushnoor,Twisha,Megha and Garima excelled. Their coach Gurcharanjit Singh expressed satisfaction over their performance. In order to encourage the budding swimmers,they were felicitated at the Panjab University Swimming Pool. Noted international swimmer Puneet Rana,gave away the awards to the winners.
