PU senate polls: Nominees announced

Under Section 15 of the Panjab University Act,three seats are reserved for principals of technical and professional colleges and three seats are reserved for the staff of these colleges. Out of these,in each category,one candidate must be from the district of Firozepur,one from the Union Territory of Chandigarh and the third from any of the previous two categories.

For the principals’ group,the four nominations are – N R Sharma,the principal of Guru Gobind Singh College of Education for Women,Gidarbha,S S Sangha,principal of Dasmes Girls College of Education,Badal,Khushwinder Kumar,principal of BCM College of Education,Ludhiana,and K K Dhiman,principal of Homeopathy College,Chandigarh.

For the staff category,the four nominations are – Jasvir Kaur Chahal of the Government College of Yoga and Health,Chandigarh,Lilu Ram of the Government College of Education,Chandigarh,Parlok Bandhu of the Molua Centre College of Education for Women,Ludhiana and Vipin Kumar of the Kenway College of Education,Abohar.
