Rape accused to be medically examined

Dhanna Ram’s medical examination will be conducted on March 27 in the Ambala jail where he is currently lodged.

A man accused of raping his three-year-old daughter and then killing her in November last year will be medically examined by doctors to check whether he is mentally sound or not.

Dhanna Ram’s medical examination will be conducted on March 27 in the Ambala jail where he is currently lodged. His counsel Manbir Singh Rathi had moved an application on March 19 before District and Sessions Judge Anita Chaudhry for getting him examined by psychiatrists.

“Dhanna was of unsound mind and doctors’ opinion must be sought,” said the application moved by Rathi. After the prosecution’s reply in the case,the court granted the permission for examining Dhanna. The rape and murder had happened on November 15,2011,around 2 am in Indira Colony,Sector 17,Panchkula.
