Only two of the 4-member committee prepare,sign report
The report pertaining to the alleged sexual exploitation and harassment of inmates at the Rohtak shelter home,which will come up for hearing before the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Wednesday,has been prepared and signed by only two of the four-member panel constituted by the court to probe the matter.
Acting on a PIL demanding protection and CBI probe into the alleged sexual abuse of inmates of Rohtak shelter home,the high court had constituted a four-member committee comprising advocates Anil Malhotra,Utsav Singh Bains,Sudeepti Sharma and Puneeta Sethi. The PIL was moved by Bains.
According to sources,the report which will be tabled before the vacation bench on Wednesday in a sealed cover has been prepared and signed by Anil Malhotra and Sudeepti Sharma.
Advocates Utsav Singh Bains and Puneeta Sethi have not signed it.
Though the high court had given the committee time till July 11 to submit its report,keeping in mind the urgency of the case,two members have gone ahead and prepared a report.
Nobody will be spared: Hooda
New Delhi: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Tuesday vowed strict action against those involved in the sexual abuse and torture of inmates at Apna Ghar shelter home in his home district Rohtak. An SIT has been constituted. No one involved in it will be spared, he told reporters while responding to questions on the action taken against those involved in the sexual abuse and torture of inmates of shelter home. The law will take its own course, he said.
Illegal child centre in Kaithal
Chandigarh: A child care centre in Haryanas Kaithal district has been found to have been functioning unauthorisedly. All the seven children who were below 18 years of age and the inmates of Durga Bal Anathalya,Kaithal,which is an unregistered child care centre,will be shifted to Braham Shakti Ashram,village Tatiana of Guhla Sub Division (located nearby), Kaithal Deputy Commissioner,Chander Shekhar said on Tuesday.
The DC has also ordered an inquiry as the centre was being run in an unauthorised manner without registration,an official release said here.
