A bureaucratic reshuffle is on the cards in Himachal Pradesh with Additional Chief Secretary (Environment,Science and Technology) Sarojini Ganju Thakur,a 1977 batch IAS officer and Secretary (Printing and Stationery) BS Nainta 1990 batch IAS officer retiring from the service on Saturday.
Thakur,who last week had received the Prime Minister’s award for excellence in administration on successful implementation of ban on polythene,has served at various positions in the state and Central governments,besides some international organisations.
A former Director,Industries and Deputy Commissioner Solan,Nainta,who earlier was a state services officer,has also worked on different posts including Secretary,Health.
The retirements of two bureaucrats also comes as a close sequel to recent deputation of IAS officer Nisha Singh,Secretary Ayurveda.
Its likely that Additional Chief Secretary (Forest) S Roy (1978-batch) will be getting the charge of Environment,Science and Technology from Sarojni Thakur. Some other changes in the departments of a few other officers are also expected tomorrow,Personnel department sources said here.
