This April,as soon as Maryada — Lekin Kab Tak wrapped up on television, actor Vishwajeet Pradhan (in the picture) packed his bags, picked up his family and hit the road. “I had been working nonstop for two years and needed a break,” says the actor who played SSP Brahmanand Jakhar on the show. In Chandigarh on a quick break with his family,Pradhan’s idea of a holiday was a road trip with his wife and two kids. “Instead of flying or booking myself at the usual holiday spots,we decided to drive across south India.” So he drove 4,000 kilometers in 15 days, from Goa to Maharashtra,Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The Pradhans saw India up close and personal. “The only thing that changes in the

landscape are the posters of film stars and politicians,” says Pradhan, who also drove all the way to Shimla from Mumbai three years back.

After acting in films like Yalgaar,Zeher,Karam,Zakhm,No Problem and Lamhaa,he is now looking forward to playing Inspector Rathore in an untitled film directed by Soham Shah, starring Sanjay Dutt and Viviek Oberoi. Then there is Vijay Raaz’s debut film as a director,Kabhi Dilli,Kabhi Lahore,in which he plays a Pakistani Army Captain.
