Youth from 35 nations discuss water conservation

At an international workshop on water conservation organized today as part of the 7th International Youth Peace Fest of Yuvsatta and GGDSD College,youth from 35 countries came together to discuss water conservation and promote rain water harvesting to meet present and future water needs.

Prominent amongst those who address the gathering included Anil Kumar Bhatia,Regional Director,Central Ground Water Board,Saurabh Kumar,Deputy Conservator of Forests,Chandigarh Administration and Anurgaha John representing the Global Citizens for Sustainable Development,Bengalore. The programme was sponsored by Ministry of Water Resources,Government of India. Appreciating the initiative,Anil Kumar Bhatia said that young people’s active involvement can make a big difference.
