Three boys with hearing and speech impairments were Tuesday run over by a speeding train while they were playing on the railway track in Tamil Nadu’s Chengalpattu district.

As the trio was about to cross, a suburban EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) train heading towards Tambaram from Chengalpattu had run over them around 11.45 am.
The Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel retrieved their bodies from the track and sent them to the Chromepet Government Hospital for post-mortem.
The police have registered a case and handed over the bodies to the parents after the post-mortem.
Local reports claim that the railway stretch between Vandalur and Urapakkam is not guarded by any wall leading to frequent accidents.
