Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) Monday opened admissions for the 2023-24 academic session, with the addition of a new scheme, called Competence Enhancement Scheme (CES), which will commence on August 1.
The university opened admission through CUET for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. AUD would be providing 18 undergraduate, 27 postgraduate, and 125 PhD programmes. There are 1,123 seats in undergraduate and 1,399 seats in postgraduate courses.
According to Vice-Chancellor Professor Anu Singh Lather, 85% of seats at Ambedkar University are reserved for students who have passed Class 12 from Delhi.
For undergraduate programmes, students can submit their online applications using their CUET number and date of birth between June 16 and July 16.
The university in a statement said, “The new competence enhancement scheme has been implemented under the National Education Policy 2020. The main aim… is to allow professionals, members of society and other citizens to re-join higher education and re-skill themselves in their fields of interest. People of all ages and professions can apply… Around 143 courses are being given… from 14 different schools from the university for CES.”
According to the varsity’s statement, AUD has also decided to give its research scholars more allowance and has increased it to Rs 16,000 each month.
