CM to look into abattoir feud

Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has promised to look into the abattoir dispute after meeting India Islamic Centre president Sirajuddin Qureshi late on Friday night. The meeting,which took place at the CM’s residence on Motilal Nehru Marg,lasted for about 30 minutes. “She has promised to look into the matter personally and will get back to us in a day or two,” said Qureshi.

In the meeting,Qureshi reiterated the demands of the meat associations. “The CM was being misguided by officials,” Qureshi said. The CM assured him that efforts were on to remove the garbage dump near the Ghazipur abattoir,he added.
