PWD Minister Parvesh Sahib SinghCivic concerns related to the repair of roads and drains, drainage management, flooding, and waterlogging, and action against illegal encroachment, among others, remained on the top of the agenda as Public Works and Department (PWD) Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh held one-on-one meetings with MLAs of various constituencies and key officials concerned.
“Earlier, no work was done because there was no intent, but now the BJP government will work on a war footing to provide relief to Delhi residents,” said Singh while launching an attack on the former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government.
“For years, work in Delhi stalled due to lack of intent. The BJP government is determined to change that. We’re not here to make promises, we’re here to deliver. In the next 100 days, people will witness real change on the ground,” Verma said in a statement.
The meeting was attended by officials from PWD, the Delhi Jal Board, and the Irrigation & Flood Control Department. to discuss civic issues in each constituency and possible solutions.
Speeding up of pending development projects was also in focus. Officials from the specific zones where the constituencies are located were present, ensuring a localised approach to problem-solving, said people aware of the details.
“MLAs of Trilokpuri, Patparganj, Laxmi Nagar (East Zone), Mundka, Nangloi Jat, Moti Nagar, Madipur (West Zone), Manglapuri, Shakarpur, Kirari (North-West Zone) and others held a one on one meeting with the minister. In this meeting, MLAs directly presented the problems of their constituencies to officials, and departments concerned were given immediate instructions for resolution,” said an official.
The PWD Minister emphasised that the impact of this initiative will be visible on the ground within the next 100 days.
“The BJP government is committed not just to politics, but to serving the people of Delhi. This initiative marks a significant step toward strengthening the city’s infrastructure and bringing swift relief to its residents,” the Minister said.
