The play highlights various forms of ragging and focusses on ways to prevent the menace. It deals with discrimination on the basis of region and physical and sexual harassment as well.

“We got a really good response from the audience. Students and parents told us that the performance put some of their apprehensions to rest,” he said.

Kuljeet Singh, who teaches English at Khalsa and actively contributes to Ankur, felt theatre is a useful tool for raising important issues.

Ragging,he said,is not just limited to interaction. “Students are asked to do things and are called names. This is humiliation. But instead of shouting about it,we thought about enacting it to spread awareness,” he said.
