After Swayamvar,Bigg Boss and Rakhi Ka Insaaf,the queen of scandal is back on the silver screen. Imagine TV has now roped in Rakhi Sawant to host yet another show,Gajab Desh ki Ajab Kahaaniyaan,which promises to be as quirky as it gets. One wonders if its because of her dressing sense (or the lack of it) that the channel trusts Ms Sawant to raise their TRPs,or if its her go-getter attitude. Pitched as one of the most captivating shows on Indian television,Gajab Desh. promises to leave viewers laughing and shaking their heads in disbelief,as it showcases strange stories,highlighting wacky beliefs of people from across the country. For instance,one of the stories is about a man who has apparently not taken a bath for 37 years. Sawant is of course elated to be back at doing what she does best entertain. Dressed in a slinky pink sari and a slinkier silver blouse,she kept the media waiting for a good 45 minutes before she made her grand entry on stage at The Park Hotel,on Wednesday. The reason for her late arrival: well,according to her,her sari was stolen right before the press conference was supposed to start,and this was the most ajab-gazab incident of her life. It surely left her miffed. This is a conspiracy. I will lodge an FIR someone has planned this. Aaj nahi toh kal mujhe pata lag jaayega who stole my sari, she blared at the audience. She dodged a question about the alleged suicide associated with her previous show Rakhi ka Insaaf. I am only going to talk about this show, she said. For the record,it was alleged that an infamous comment about a participants sexual capability devastated him so much that he killed himself. Nevertheless,the media loved her they loved her jokes and prompted her to say one scandalous thing after the other,and she willingly obliged. Whats different in this show? This is a total comedy show, she said,with a wink,adding,Nothing controversial. In fact,even the channel claims that the show is not a revamped version of Rakhi ka Insaaf,as it is rumoured to be. With her own swayamvar ending in a split,Sawant left the audience in splits as she spoke about her ideal life partner. There was a time when she was crazy about Rahul Gandhi. Now Baba Ramdev is her new infatuation. When I see Baba Ramdev in yoga posture,I feel attracted. Oh sorry,I should call him Swami, she added rather cheekily. The show will be aired every Friday and Saturday at 10 pm,starting July 29.
