Shah sells Modi dreams, says once here, we stay

Shah asked the crowd to decide if they wanted an “experienced” government or “wanted to experiment”.

Amit Shah, BJP, delhi assembly Polls, Delhi elections, Delhi Elections 2015, AAp, arvind Kejriwal, Narendra Modi BJP chief Amit Shah today asked the voters of Delhi to decide whether they want an experienced government led by his party or go for an experiment in the upcoming Assembly poll.

A nervous BJP seems to have fallen back on its tried and tested ‘Modi for development’ mantra. On Friday, BJP president Amit Shah tried to woo middle-class voters in Uttam Nagar with Modi’s “development” dream.

Focussing entirely on Modi, Shah spoke about the “Make in India” campaign, the Jan Dhan Yojna, decline in petrol prices “11 times” since May, and “reduction in the monthly household budget between Rs 1,500-4,500”.

Crediting Modi with “sweeping victories” in elections across the country, he said Modi’s “charisma” has “stunned” the world. “The PM now gives speeches in the US, Australia and the UN General Assembly in Hindi,” Shah said.

He also spoke of “national” issues — how India is giving “befitting” replies to ceasefire violations on the border  by Pakistan — amid chants of ‘Har Har Modi’.

Asserting that the contest is only between the BJP and the AAP this election, Shah asked the crowd to decide if they wanted an “experienced” government or “wanted to experiment”.

“BJP has a record. Once we come, we stay. Look at Gujarat, MP, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Goa,” he said.
