The Centre will declassify the files on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at the right time after considering how it would affect international relations, said state BJP president Rahul Sinha on Tuesday.
“Declassifying the files was always on the Centre’s agenda and would be done at the right moment, looking at the international relations which could get affected,” Sinha told reporters here.
“If those files are made public, BJP will have nothing to worry about. It will be the Congress and CPM which would be embarrassed,” Sinha added.

He said revealing the Netaji files would only “disappoint the Trinamool Congress”.
The state party president alleged that the ruling Trinamool Congress was “indirectly doing politics” by declassifying 64 Netaji files under the state government and “it is their ploy to win next year’s Assembly elections by riding on the emotions linked with the great leader”.
He also demanded that Mamata should make the Shyamal Sen Commission files public too. “People want to know how many people had made complaints regarding the multi-crore Saradha scam and how much money was refunded to them. People also want to know what Justice Shyamal Sen had written in the report,” he said.
Referring to the organisational changes in the state party unit, Sinha said at present only block committee elections will take place. “Block committee elections will be completed by the end of October and there has been no other instruction from the central leadership to conduct elections at any other level of the party,” he said.
