Forward Bloc supporters demonstrate outside Raj Bhavan

Members of Forward Bloc’s youth and student wings on Sunday staged a demonstration in front of the Raj Bhavan when Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrived and shouted slogans against corruption. Some workers of the Yuba League and Chhatra Bloc carrying red flags suddenly appeared before the north gate of the Raj Bhavan and shouted slogans “stop corruption”,”stop price rise”,”Manmohan Singh go back”.

The Prime Minister entered the Raj Bhavan through the south gate. Police immediately swung into action and pushed them away. Nine persons were detained in this connection.
