Advocates had opposed the move of sending the company under provisional liquidation,Bose said at Writers’ Buildings. “This is an unfortunate and big incident in the industrial sector. We did not want the plant to go into provisional liquidation. We wanted the factory management to run the unit and pay dues to the workers and other creditors,” Bose said. The state government’s dues with Dunlop is around Rs 77 crore. The government will discuss steps to help the workers of the unit. Bose will speak to the state industry minister on the issue.
