Saradha scam: Kunal Ghosh summoned for eighth time

Suspended Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Kunal Ghosh Saturday appeared before Bidhannagar police commissionerate for eighth time in connection with the Saradha scam.

Suspended Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Kunal Ghosh Saturday appeared before Bidhannagar police commissionerate for eighth time in connection with the Saradha scam. The interrogation lasted for three-and-a-half hours.

Ghosh has been summoned by the Bidhannagar Police seven times in the past one month in connection with the scam after he spoke against senior party leaders at a programme organised by TMC MP Sudipta Sen.

Ghosh,who was suspended from the party September 28 for anti-party statements,was examined by the Serious Fraud Investigation Office Friday.

After the interrogation,Ghosh said: This time,I have categorically requested investigators to probe into other businesses of Sudipta Sen. It seems that investigators have only focused on Sens media business.

It seems that I am the only living person who knows Sudipta Sen,as I have not seen the investigators sending summons to others known to Sudipta Sen, he added.
