Candidate runs riot in Hardoi,arrested

An Independent candidate for Hardoi Lok Sabha seat,Baba Santosh Giri,was arrested after he created a ruckus and indulged in brick-batting inside the Collectorate premises on Saturday. Giri lost his temper after he was told about the cancellation of his nomination following inadequate information in the document. The police said they had a tough time overpowering Giri,who ran around the premises throwing stones on people and the cops. The accused has been booked under Section 353 of the IPC (assaulting public servant to deter him from discharge of duty).
