CHIEF MINISTER Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday visited the CM Command Centre and reviewed the performance of several departments and projects across the state. Adityanath issued instructions to the officials concerned that departments and schemes should be monitored under just three categories — A, B and C. He mentioned that at the district level, reviews should be conducted daily, on alternate days and on a weekly as well as fortnightly basis. An officer should be appointed at the district level to ensure that the reported data is accurate. Also, a ministerial review should be conducted once a month, and all reports should be submitted to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), he said. The CM also emphasized the importance of adhering to deadlines for services such as inheritance and land use approvals. He pointed out that a ranking system has been developed to track and monitor the progress of flagship schemes in the state. It is necessary to focus on its quality and speed, he told the officials. Departments and projects that are lagging in these areas need to improve. He emphasized that all categories should be performance-based, ensuring accountability at every level. The Chief Minister said that the focus should not just be on numbers but on quality as well. Both quality and transparency are essential. He directed the MSME department to further promote the ODOP (One District One Product) initiative and explore the possibility of including district-specific food products under the scheme. He also stressed the need for random checks of the performance data provided by departments. In review meetings led by the Chief Secretary, discussions should focus on the top 10 departments and schemes. Presentations of the top-performing departments should be shared with others to highlight their working methods and identify areas for improvement. Their reports and success stories should be shared with other departments. Additionally, efforts should be made to analyze the reasons behind the poor performance of certain departments. The CM instructed that if a government scheme or campaign is not 100 per cent saturated, its objective remains incomplete. Regular checks should be conducted, and every department must monitor progress daily. He emphasized that while designing schemes, officials should ensure they benefit the maximum number of people. The Chief Minister instructed that departments such as Revenue, Police, Health, District Administration, Municipal Corporation, Panchayati Raj, and others must ensure accountability in handling complaints. He also emphasized the use of technology while giving priority to resolution of problems. Reviewing the status of key projects, Adityanath mentioned that all projects must progress on schedule and necessary actions should be taken to ensure completion on time. Regarding e-procurement cases, he instructed that all requisitions be thoroughly checked at the department level before submission.
