Now,complaint filed to UP Lokayukta against Siddiqui

A complaint was filed to Lokayukta N K Mehrotra last week against PWD Minister Naseemuddin Siddiqui,accusing him of grabbing government land,amassing wealth disproportionate to his known source of income and awarding mining contracts to his relatives.

The complaint has been filed by one Ashish Sagar,an RTI activist from Banda,who has alleged that the minister had bought a real-estate property in Ghaziabad,Barabanki,built two bungalows in Banda town and a college named Kamruddin Memorial College at his native village Seora Sherpur.

Sagar alleged the minister’s one relative had been given the stone mining contract for around 3- hectare land in Naraini tehsil of Banda. The complainant has also alleged the minister’s relatives and close associates were given contracts for stone mining in Naraini for a period from 2008 to 2016 at his behest.

According to the complainant,another relative of the minister,had grabbed around 200 sq m government land in Banda town and was also illegally given three tractors under Bundelkhand package.

The complainant said the sand mining contracts were also given to a BSP leader and minister’s close associates in Banda. Another relative of the minister,the complainant alleged,was awarded the contract for more than 50 acre area for stone mining in Mahoba district. The minister could not be reached despite attempt.
