Samajwadi Party MLA from Chandausi seat of Sambhal district has lodged a complaint with the Lucknow police to lodge an FIR against a local party worker for allegedly beating up her servant,threatening her and hurling abuses at her over the phone.
Police on Tuesday lodged an FIR at Hussainganj police station on the complaint of MLA Laxmi Gautam against Vipin Kumar Chaudhary,an SP worker from Chandausi,under various sections of the IPC,including 323 (voluntarily causing hurt),504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
Chaudhary later called her over the phone and used abusive language. He also made casteist remarks on her,Gautam said in her complaint. When I protested,he threatened to kill my family, she alleged.
The complaint was forwarded to SSP Lucknow by the Home Department for action.
Chaudhary,a resident of Shakti Nagar in Chandausi,said the MLA and her husband were levelling baseless charges against her as he had objected to the MLA and her husbands extortion activities in the city.
SPs Chandausi city president Vinod Kumar Chulbul said Chaudhary is a respected member ofthe party and he supported Chaudharys allegations and said the MLA was not available for public here and had never come to Chandausi after winning the election. Further,the MLA and her husband Dileep Varshney were making allegations against those objecting to their activities,he said.
Chulbul said he had already sent a complaint against the MLA to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and senior party leaders.
