The session was chaired by Awanish Awasthi, Adviser to Chief Minister, UP.A government-Industry interactive session was organised under the aegis of Invest, UP with the collaboration of Indo-American Chamber of Commerce in Lucknow on Monday. The session was part of an Uttar Pradesh visit by officers part of a National Security and Strategic Course at the National Defence College, New Delhi, for ‘Understanding India Study Tour’ from a socio-political-economic perspective, said a release. The session was chaired by Awanish Awasthi, Adviser to Chief Minister, UP.
There were 16 officers in the delegation that had 10 officers from m the military, civil services from India and 6 military officers from friendly foreign countries such as Japan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Zambia and Bangladesh. The industry representatives came from different sectors such as heavy industry, technology, education, manufacturing, real estate, hospitality, medical, retail, MSME, arbitration, agriculture, chamber of commerce etc.
Awanish Awasthi spoke about the rapid development of the six nodes in UP as part of the establishment of Defence Corridor in UP. The Lucknow node is in the process of setting up the Brahmos missile unit while Kanpur, Jhansi and Aligarh are in advanced stages of development. Industrial belts are being developed along the Expressways in the state.
