On the second day of his visit,AICC general secretary Madhusudan Mistry met the office-bearers of the media cell and research cell of Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) in Lucknow and advised them to become active on social media like Twitter,Facebook and Linkedin. He asked them to use social media to stay connected with happenings around the world and also to connect better with the younger generation.
According to sources,as soon as Mistry began his meeting,he asked party spokespersons about their efficiency in computers but found that there were many who were not well versed with the system. Raising the issue of office-bearers giving statements without knowing about issues,he reportedly asked them to first do their homework and then speak.
He told us that these days background on every issue is available on internet and thus before speaking on any issue,it is better to be ready with the details. He asked us to make use of social media and said that during his next visit,a strategy would also be planned to connect better with people in the rural areas as well, a party leader said.
Mistry asked Congress Legislature Party leader Pradeep Mathur and member of the Legislative Council Naseeb Pathan to submit details of questions raised by MLAs and MLCs in the two houses of the legislature.
He also asked these leaders to submit the report on answers received from the state government on the questions raised by Congress MLAs and MLCs. He told the leaders that from now on,he would be keeping a watch on the activities of the party in the Assembly and the kind of issues raised by them.
