As Manu Pandey alias Varsha remained untraceable, the police moved court and, following its directive, attached her property.

The alleged role of Manu Pandey came to light after a few audio recordings surfaced online in which she is purportedly heard disclosing the location of the police team to the accused, sources said.

She was also allegedly heard passing on instructions from Vikas Dubey to his associates. Manu Pandey’s residence is located opposite Vikas Dubey’s house in Bikru village.

Manu’s father-in-law, Prem Prakash Pandey, who was accused in the same case, was gunned down by police in an encounter on the same night. Prem Prakash was Vikas Dubey’s maternal uncle.
