Soon after joining SAD(B),S R Kler, former additional deputy commissioner (ADC) of Ludhiana is busy canvassing and seeking support for the party. Today he was seen at a Revenue Patwar Union function where he asked the union to support him in the coming elections.

The union also welcomed his new role and stated that he will surely raise voice of the union and their problems in Vidhan Sabha.

Darshan Sharma, general secretary of Ludhiana chapter said,“This day is very important for us,because earlier when Punjab was not divided, unions never used to strike, our union had gone on strike for the first time in 1957 and the then CM Partap Singh Kairon had agreed to the demands after visiting the house of Devinder Singh Chauhan, then union president. The strike was called off on December 12. So every year we observe this day.”
