‘Badal not justified in blaming Manmohan’

SAD (Delhi) Punjab unit President J S Baliawal thanked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for giving Rs 50 as bonus to wheat crop. However he said,“It should have been increased to Rs 100 per quintal,taking into account the problems of the farmers.”

Speaking about storage capacity,he attacked Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal. “The Centre had given funds worth crores of rupees for development of ultra-modern godowns for the rabi and kharif crops. But till date these funds have not been utilised. Now,the Chief Minister is blaming the Central government. This is unjustified.”

In a letter written to the prime Minister,Baliawal said,“The Central government should ask the state government about utilisation of these funds.”
