In its third meeting after the Delhi gangrape incident,Traffic police on Saturday met with bus operators and asked them to remove the colored films from its glasses immediately.

The directions come after directions from the Punjab and Haryana High Court to ensure that not a single bus travels with its glasses covered with films.

ACP (traffic police) Dhruman Nimbale informed that they had already issued challans for tinted glasses to more than 4,800 vehicles in 2013. “If anyone fails to follow the orders issued by the court, the police will take strict action against them,” the ACP added.

He added that Saturday meeting was the last warning for all vehicle owners and from Monday onwards ‘stricter action will be taken’.
