HC commissioner to inspect illegal hoardings, ads in city

Following the orders of Punjab and Haryana High Court, a commissioner of the High Court will visit Ludhiana soon to inspect the status of illegal hoardings and advertisements in the city.

Meanwhile, the Municipal Corporation claimed that it has already pulled up its socks and action against illegal hoardings is being taken on fast track mode.

The Municipal Corporation on Saturday claimed that 75 hoardings, 145 banners and 160 illegal ads painted on walls have been removed.

Superintendent tehbazaari Harvinder Singh and assistant commissioner Satwant Singh said that all walls from Jalandhar bypass road till Easy Day market and Basti Jodhewal were white washed on Saturday.

Superintendent tehbazaari Harvinder Singh said, “We got information that unauthorized advertisements have come up again on bus stands.
“We will soon issue challan to the violators.”

Assistant commissioner, Satwant Singh confirmed that the court commissioner is expected anytime soon to inspect the city as per the orders of Punjab and Haryana High Court.
