Three murder cases cracked,three held
With the arrest of three persons,the police on Saturday cracked three murder cases which had rocked the city in the past one month. The police have arrested Mohit Kumar,Bharat Kumar and Vijay Pal for allegedly killing railway employee Durga Prasad whose body was found near Jagraon Bridge on April 7. They are also accused of killing one Ravinder Pandey who was looted on April 30 night at Daba Road and another Subash Kumar a security guard who was murdered on May 3. The accused have confessed to their crime,said DCP Pramod Ban.
Mothers Day celebrated in city
Mothers Day was celebrated at Ram Lal Bhasin Public School in the city on Saturday. A card-making competition for mothers was also held. Meanwhile,Cherrylane Playschool also celebrated Mothers Day by decorating the school with balloons and banners conveying love and affection of a child for his/her mother. Ryan International School students made different utility articles for their mothers.
Blood donation camp on May 13
To mark the 54th birthday of Shri Ravi Shankarjis,Art of Living chapter is organising a blood donation camp on May 13 from 9 am to 5 pm at Art of Living Centre,64R Model Town,Ludhiana.
Annual prize distribution held at KVM
The annual prize distribution function of Kundan Vidya Mandir was held on Saturday. As many as 500 students were rewarded for their hard work. Amarjit Chopra,President (ICAI) presided over the function. The Chief Guest gave away the prizes to the meritorious students.
