A meeting of the officials of all the branches of Oriental Bank of Commerce in Ludhiana and Moga districts was held here on Tuesday.
While delivering a key-note address,the banks Deputy General Manager,NK Chauhan highlighted the banks achievements during the financial year 2008-09. He deliberated on the plan and strategies to take its business in these districts to Rs 5,000 crore from the present Rs 4,000 crore.
He said that Oriental Bank will be opening four new branches and installing a number of ATMs in Ludhiana and Moga districts shortly. The bank also launched Saral Bima Policy in Ludhiana region,which is being offered by its joint venture company with HSBC and Canara Bank.
The bank aims to have 1,500 branches with a business of Rs 20,0000 crore by the end of the financial year 2009-2010.
