Players from villages not getting enough opportunities: Prabhjot

Prabhjot Singh said that players from villages were not able to match up with the latest training.

Prabhjot Singh, forward hockey player and captain of Mumbai Challengers, on Friday said players were coming from rural India but they were not getting enough opportunities because of lack of proper training.

This Arjuna Awardee, who is also from rural Punjab, said that players from villages were not able to match up with the latest training and were still playing traditional hockey in villages.

On the Hockey World Cup that is to start from May 30 onwards, he said that they were hopeful to reach top eight in the tournament so as to be part of Olympics as well.

Singh, who came as a brand ambassador of Direct Hair Implantation, a hair restoration company, was also seen talking about hair transplant as he himself had got it done in his late 20s.
