Scientists must try to do most work in Hindi

CIPHET Hindi pakwara concluded; certificates and prizes distributed to winners

Central Institute of Post Harvest Engineering and Technology (CIPHET) on Friday organised a special function to mark the conclusion of Hindi pakwara celebration which began from September 14.

On the occasion,certificates and prizes were distributed to the winners.

Distributing certificates to winners,Head of Hindi Department of Government College for Boys,Ludhiana,Prof Rajinder Jain,who was also the chief guest,said that many developed countries in the world were giving preference to their own language.

Saying that one should be proud of the national heritage,he said that there was no better language than Hindi to communicate and we must make every effort to protect and promote our language.

Central Institute of Post Harvest Engineering and Technology Director Dr U S Shivhare said that scientists should make effort to do maximum publications in Hindi.

He informed the chief guest that Central Institute of Post Harvest Engineering and Technology had organised number of programmes for promotion of Hindi and saw huge participation from CIPHET faculty.

Transfer of Technology Division Head Dr Deepak Raj Rai said that on September 14,1905,Hindi was declared the official language of the Indian union.

He said that by organising various programmes,they made an attempt to inculcate national pride in staff for use of Hindi. Senior members of Central Institute of Post Harvest

The winners of the Hindi pakhwara competition included Mr Harbhopinder Singh (Hindi computer typing),Dr Deepika Goswami (essay writing),Yashpal Sharma (Hindi translation),Monika Sharma (hand-written posters),Sangeeta Chopra (poetry recitation),Shalikgram Drivedi (letter-writing),Anil Kumar Dixit (scientific discussion),Ajay Kumar Dixit (Hindi noting and drafting),the team of Manisha Mangal,Sangeeta Bansal,Deepika Goswami and Monika Sharma (singing competition),and Sohan Lal (employee doing maximum work in Hindi).
