Bicycles and its parts may be removed from Pakistan’s “negative list”.

Bicycles and its parts may be removed from Pakistan’s “negative list” when it comes to its trade relations with India, said Mian Atiq,vice-president of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who was in the city to participate in the business-to-business meet organised by the Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) on Friday evening.

At the meeting, where more than 30 delegates from Pakistan participated,Atiq said that at the moment,Pakistan was importing cycles from China, which was expensive. “Pakistan is short of about per cent of its demand and if the same is bought through direct trade, the cost can come down and even industries in both countries will get a boost,” he added.

The meeting also saw the signing of MoUs between Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry,Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and CICU to promote bilateral trade relations by providing a platform for businessmen to meet, discuss and explore business opportunities.
