Candidates are leaving no stone unturned to woo the voters and the same is with Punjab Agro Chairman and former Ludhiana MP Sharanjit Singh Dhillon. To the grab attention of voters of this area,Dhillon is re-inaugurating the projects that were earlier inaugurated by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.
Dhillon today formally started the project of railway over bridge (ROB) of Kohara-Sahnewal by taking saints along. Badal had inaugurated this project on November 27 and today Dhillon again went in the area to get this project started. Dhillon is keen to contest the Vidhan Sabha polls from this constituency. So he has been making rounds in this area for a long time.
Dhillon,however,clarified,The Chief Minister had inaugurated this project last month but after completing various formalities,the work was started today. So I went to the area to tell the masses about our ‘achievements.
On December 12 Dhillon had also gone to re-inaugurate the Mattewara bridge with a cost of Rs 55 crore. The foundation stone of this project too had been laid by the Chief Minister on November 27. Dhillon stated,The saints made the work formally start on December 12.
Giving detail about the ROB,he said,The ROB will have a length of 693 m out of which 47 m will be made by the railways. The bridge will have a height of 6.8 m and be 10.5 m in width. He claimed that he himself had gone to Delhi several times to get this project cleared for the residents. So he had a right to make them know about his efforts.
Apart from re-inaugurating projects,Dhillon is also making door-to-door visits in the area to appease the voters.
