4 cops suspended for throwing passenger off moving train

Home Minister R R Patil has suspended four police constables attached to the railway police force for allegedly throwing off a passenger from the train in which he sustained serious injuries.

The department has suspended police naiks Shankar Patil,Siddharam Manganur,police constables Rahul Jedhe and Vijay Thakur attached to Wadala Railway Police station have been suspended. According to the home department,on August 18,Habibullah Ataullah Khan was aboard the Kurla-Tilaknagar local train when he was allegedly assaulted by the RPF policemen and thrown off the running train. He suffered severe injuries and is undergoing treatment at Sion hospital. A case has been registered against the constables based on Khan’s complaint.
