Admissions to professional courses: 6 months’ time to produce Caste Validity Certificate

Their admission will be done on the basis of Caste Certificate and Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) with an undertaking to submit the CVC in six months.

Maharashtra’s General Administration department has issued a Government Resolution (GR) in this regard ahead of the admissions season.

According to the GR, this will be applicable to admissions in engineering, medical and other professional courses in the state for academic year 2024-25 which are currently ongoing.

From February 2024, ten per cent of total seats in all academic courses are now reserved under SEBC category for Maratha candidates.

“Considering various difficulties faced by candidates in procuring CVC amid admissions for the academic year 2024-25, students are given additional time of six months from the date of the application to submit the CVC. It will be mandatory for students taking admissions on these reserved seats to submit the CVC within six months. Otherwise their admission will be declared cancelled,” states the GR.
