Ashok Chavan: Ready to take on responsibilities for maximum number of seats

Former CM Ashok Chavan, who joined BJP last month, reassured on Tuesday that he was ready to shoulder the responsibilities for giving maximum seats from Maharashtra in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

Addressing a public rally in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah at Sambhajinagar, Chavan said, “There is no doubt that PM Narendra Modi has brought sweeping reforms that changed the face of the country in the past ten years. I have never criticised Modi’s good work even when I was in Congress. I believe if there is development and good work it should be lauded.”

Modi has given a call for Viksit Bharat. I would like to say, “Along with Viksit Bharat, Viksit Maharashtra, Viksit Marathwada will become a reality. We will together strive towards accomplishing the goals and objectives under the leadership of Modi.” “In the past, we fought against each other. Now, let us work together. I reassure I will work not only for Marathwada, but for Maharashtra to ensure BJP and allies win maximum seats in LS polls. I am grateful for the confidence shown in me by BJP leadership. And I will not let them down,” he said.
