Customs Quiz 2011 organised

Sounder and Rajans Rockers,representing Customs House,won the grand finale of the Customs Quiz 2011 organised at the Jawaharlal Nehru Customs House in Nhava Sheva on Wednesday.

Sounder and Rajans Rockers,representing Customs House,won the grand finale of the Customs Quiz 2011 organised at the Jawaharlal Nehru Customs House in Nhava Sheva on Wednesday. Chief Commissioner Customs (Mumbai Zone-II ) K R Bhargava,who was chief guest,gave away prizes and trophies to the winning team of Deputy Commissioner Deepak Bhilegaonkar and AOs Makhan Singh,Ved Prakash and A P Sharma.

Manoj Giants,representing the Import Docks,was the runner-up. Shamoboos Tigers and Sukhpal Chargers were the other two teams that took part in the final.

This is the second quiz contest organized at JNCH. The pioneer Customs House in the country is known for its innovative ideas not only relating to law enforcement but also trade facilitation measures. The main objective of the programme was to make Customs officers as well as Custom House Agents aware of customs and allied laws. Commissioner (Export) C S Prasad,Commissioner (Appeals) Shobha Ram,BCHAA office-bearers Omprakash Agarwal,Pankaj Shah,K Shetty and Nimesh Desai were also present on the occasion. Additional Commissioner of Customs Rajan Chaudhary was the quiz master at the event which had 14 participating teams in the preliminary levels.
