The Time Warp Award for Disastrous Fashion Flashback
Shah Rukh Khan at the Cosmopolitan awards

You can stop rubbing your eyes — this isn’t Shah Rukh Khan from his Ram Jaane days. It’s the unbuttoned shirt and tie-less look that makes you think he’s not wearing a shirt under that jacket,a la his look in that movie. Also,is it an illusion or has King Khan become shorter? How else can one explain the extra fabric bunched up over his shoes?

The Baingan Bharta Lovers Association Award for the Best Garden Vegetable Imitation
Farah Khan at Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra’s wedding reception

Is it surprising that the first image that popped into our head when we saw this picture of Farah was that of a large brinjal? The choreographer-turned-dancer’s perfect makeup and hair are woefully let down by her imitation of the vegetable. The royal purple is lovely, especially for a formal occasion such as this, but the top-to-toe look isn’t palatable.

The Velveteen musician Award
Aadesh Shrivastava at Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra’s wedding reception

Seinfeld’s George Costanza once famously said that he would like to be draped in velvet. He never actually fulfilled the hideous prospect, but unlike George,Aadesh is a man of action. The music composer is not so much dressed as completely ensconced in the much abused fabric — a look that’s bound to make even the most hardcore of the fabric’s fans wince.

The Golden Girl Award for Glitziest Outfit
Natasha Poonawala at Ramona Narang Rodella’s party for Eesha Koppikhar and Timmy Narang

From we heard, the theme of Ramona’s party for her brother and his fiancée was ‘Ken and Barbie at the Disco’. We’re not sure which doll Natasha played with in her rompers-and-ponytails days, but her look here is more ‘bhabhi’ than ‘Barbie’. The overload of glitter makes us slap on our sunshades. And,given the lady’s love for novelty arm candy,we’re not surprised to see her with Judith Leiber’s ‘Ganesha’ minaudiere, but it gets completely lost in the glitter of her overall ensemble.
