Five assaulted with metal rods and sharp objects

The Parksite police are on the lookout for five persons for allegedly assaulting and injuring five others with metal rods and sharp objects over enemity. The incident took place near Hotel Azwa in Vikhroli (West). The injured had come out after offering prayers at a local mosque. A case of attempt to murder has been registered against the accused and teams have been formed to arrest them.

“The victims were rushed to Sion Hospital,where the condition of two are very serious,” said inspector Sunil Bhosale.

The police have recorded statements of witnesses,and are contacting family members of the victims to ascertain if they knew anything about the enemity,he said.
