Gastroenteritis claims first victim

Gastroenteritis claimed its first victim of the season on Wednesday when a 32-year- old woman from Dharavi died. She was admitted to Sion hospital. 

The city is seeing a rise in gastro cases with 66 persons more persons admitted to civic, state and private hospitals. 

Meanwhile 96 persons were admitted for fever, two were diagnosed with leptospirosis, three with dengue and 29 with malaria. 

According to BMC’s epidemiological cell there have been 196 admissions so far.
