Social worker Anna Hazare and Shiv Sena MLA from Jalgaon Suresh Jain were engaged in a wordy duel on Saturday. Hazare was summoned by the Jalgaon court in connection with a defamation case filed by Jain. The case was adjourned till August 8 after Hazares lawyer Prakash Patil sought it. Jain,who had to quit his ministerial berth about seven years ago,has always been a bitter critic of Hazare. On Saturday,Jain said fighting corruption was not the monopoly of Hazares father and that there was the Constitution,Parliament and judiciary to deal with it. He also described Hazare as a Talibani Gandhi. Later,Hazare said if fighting corruption was close to the heart of Jains father,he could also launch an agitation against corruption. Incidentally,Jain is a senior legislator who is serving his seventh successive term in the Assembly.
