The complainant had approached Tandel seeking the return of his application so that he can submit it to the authorities concerned, an officer from the ACB said.
The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday arrested a state home department clerk for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000. ACB sources said the complainant, who owns a security agency, had applied for a licence with the state government in February. However, as per a recent state government resolution, such licences are to be issued by the Commissioner of Police concerned.
